The Solid Mount is uniquely designed for installing grab bars into pre-existing fiberglass showers/tubs where a gap between the shower and frame makes it difficult to have sturdy installations. The Solid Mount can take up to 50-60 minutes to install.
The mounts prevent tearing walls from tearing during installation of any grab bar. It’s installed through the face of the fiberglass panel and uses a patented mounting assembly to attach to the stud, sealing the hole and offering a secure mounting surface for easy grab bar attachment. The Solid Mount can span a distance of 7/8-in to 2-1/8-in between the fiberglass surround and wall stud. After installation, the Solid Mount leaves a 3-in flat surface exposed where most standard grab bars with 2-1/2-in or 3-in mounting plates can be installed. This installation meets or exceeds ANSI and ADA requirements.
- For installation into fiberglass showers
- Kit contains pieces for installation of one grab bar with two wall connection points
- Includes (2) mounting devices, (2) spacers, (6) stainless steel screws, (2) bolts and washers
** Does not include grab bar. Grab bar sold separately.

If you own a home with a fiberglass shower or fiberglass tub and you live with any of the following questions then the Solid Mount is for you!
- Do you ever feel your fiberglass shower or fiberglass tub could be safer?
- Have you ever felt your feet slip in your fiberglass shower or fiberglass tub?
- Do you ever feel like you have nothing solid to hold onto, so you can balance yourself when you are in your fiberglass shower or fiberglass tub?
- Would you like something solid to hold on to as you enter and exit your fiberglass shower or fiberglass tub?
The Solid Mount is the solution for giving you a safe and secure shower or bathing experience. Fiberglass walls have no structural or stable support, not only will the fiberglass shower or fiberglass tub walls flex when pushed against but they also can crack and break over time from continual pushing or pulling. Safely and securely install a grab bar into your fiberglass shower or fiberglass tub.
The Solid Mount does not rely on the fiberglass of the shower or tub for any of its support or strength it gets all of its support and strength from the structural 2x4's that are already part of the walls in your home.
Should only be used by someone who knows what they are doing. So much could go wrong.

I was very impressed with the strength and solid feel of these anchors when installed and would definitely buy them again. I installed two grab bars using them, and as with most things, I learned from the first and did the second one better. The main thing I learned was to measure very precisely if you are using concealed-end type grab bars. The part of the anchors that protrude beyond the surface of the fiberglass wall are about 1/64" smaller than the cover flanges that come with the grab bars, so if they are installed even a tiny bit off, the covers do not fit over the anchors, and will not be flush or parallel to the wall. I ended up dry fitting the grab bar mounting plates and covers onto the anchors, then marking and trimming the external anchor flanges a little to fit under the covers. It's important to do this before you put the sealant on, or you'll have to trim them in place, which is very difficult. Also just use a thin bead of sealant, or you'll end up squishing it out and making a mess on the wall. From a strength standpoint, of course it's much better to measure precisely the first time and not trim the flange at all. Overall excellent product, but would be more user friendly if made even 1/16" smaller diameter.
First photo shows a proper installation after dry fitting and filing up to 1/16" off one edge. Second and third photos show what happens when you don't measure precisely (oops!).
